Christian Aid Week 2020
(Sunday 10th to Saturday 16th May)
Christian Aid is a partnership of people, churches and local organisations that works with local partners and communities to fight injustice, respond to humanitarian emergencies, campaign for change, and help people claim the services and rights they are entitled to.
Usually the house-to-house collections (using the familiar red envelopes) are a very significant source of income for the charity and our parishes raise around £2000 each year, which is augmented by additional donations from church funds. There will not be any street collections during Christian Aid Week this year but like many charities its work is even more important now as a result of the pandemic.
This year Christian Aid Week will be launched with a live-streamed service on Sunday 10 May at 1pm, celebrated by Dr Rowan Williams. Every day during Christian Aid Week the charity’s global partners will be sharing reflections and prayers from their projects, which the charity supports.

- If you would like to make a donation to Christian Aid please click here.
- Please also think about inviting other family members, friends and neighbours to donate by sending them
- Our Sunday morning Zoom Church at 9.30am will be a Christian Aid Service.
We know that this is a very difficult time for everyone but please try to help and don’t wash your hands of Christian Aid this year.
Thank you very much.
