Sunday at St. Thomas’
Every Sunday morning there are two services at St. Thomas’ Church: a said service of Holy Communion at 8am and a sung Family Communion service at 10.45am.
The earlier service is quieter, smaller and more contemplative: we sit in the choir stalls in the calm of the early morning and start the day with God. During the later service we have a crèche area where parents can sit with their pre-schoolers if they don’t want to sit still in a pew; older children can join in the fun and learning at Sunday School in the Church Hall next door and we all come back together again as we go for Communion towards the end of the service. Afterwards we gather for refreshments at the back of Church.
Once a month we have a Story Church service at 10am.
Sunday at St. Mary Magdalene’s
Every Sunday morning we have a sung Family Communion service at 9.30am.
Our children can visit Sunday School which is held in the meeting room at the back of Church, until they come to join us as we all go for Communion together around the altar towards the end of the service. There’s always a bit of a scramble among the children to be on biscuit serving duty after the service – could that be because it’s a good opportunity to choose your favourites? We’d love to welcome you to our friendly, informal worship.
