Prayer Ministry

Prayer Ministry

Prayer Ministry is an integral part of our churches’ belief and practice following the teaching and example of Jesus Christ.

Prayer Ministry is an opportunity for people to give thanks for something or to bring a particular concern for themselves, someone else, or a situation that troubles them, by praying with two of our Prayer Ministers. The aim of Prayer Ministry is to bring, through Jesus, spiritual healing, wholeness, and peace.

Prayer Ministry is offered once monthly as part of the morning Communion Services on Sundays and at Thursday morning services at St. Thomas’.  Also, Prayer Ministry may be requested at any time in cases of need.

At the end of the service, members of the congregation are invited to come to one of the ‘prayer stations’ (in the Lady Chapel at St. Thomas’ or the United Saints Room at St. Mary Magdalene’s). Those coming forward are welcomed by a member of our team who can explain how we pray together and what to expect.
